Sarita Sehgal is a partnership and development professional with over 20 years of experience working across the UN, NGO, and private sectors in Europe and Africa. Bridging academia and practice, Sarita excels in building multisectoral partnerships and facilitating innovative and inclusive processes to advance social impact. With deep expertise in international health and development, she has advised UN leaders, government ministers, and CEOs, while collaborating closely with human rights activists, youth leaders, and marginalized communities.


Sarita’s work spans thematic areas such as HIV, sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health, one health, gender-based violence, youth and community empowerment, and social protection. With extensive experience in countries including Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, and other African nations, Sarita recently completed her PhD focused on cross-sector partnerships for health in South Africa. She is currently researching the role of multisectoral partnerships in driving progress toward the SDGs.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Sarita is fluent in English, French, and German, with intermediate proficiency in Spanish. Her passion for fostering partnerships and driving positive change is complemented by her love for exploring diverse cultures and geographies across Africa and beyond.
