Omniya el Baghdadi

Dr. Omniya el-Baghdadi has over 13 years of experience in research and consultancy focused on climate action, sustainable development and nature-based solutions. She enjoys designing and facilitating participatory multi-stakeholder processes and dialogues that foster curiosity, empathy and collaboration.

Her recent work includes Majalis Abu Dhabi, the Salama Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation, the Education, Human Development and Community Development Council in the UAE, and the Grand Bargain.

Omniya holds a PhD in Environmental Economics from Queensland University of Technology and previously worked as a Senior Sustainability Consultant with clients including AFD, AfDB, CGIAR, EBRD, IFC, UNESCWA, UNIDO, and the World Bank.

In her free time, she loves yoga, hiking, and immersing herself in nature, finding inspiration for her work in the beauty of the natural world.
