Reos Partners, the social impact company specialising in systems change, announces the closure of its Australia office.

Reos Partners, the social impact company specialising in systems change, thanks the Australia team for a 13-year journey together. The Australian arm of the business was established by directors Stephen Atkinson and Dr. Leigh Gassner and evolved to include principals, senior consultants, and other contractors around the country. Over the last few years, Russell Fisher, Principal, has played an essential role in co-leading the office with Stephen.

Since opening its doors in 2010, the Australian team has designed and facilitated approaches to enable systems change across complex challenges, such as mental and chronic health, youth justice, Aboriginal incarceration, family violence, diversity in education, sustainability in the built environment, climate change, water security, biodiversity security, socio-political futures, and drought resilience.

Steve Atkinson resigned as director at Reos Partners for personal reasons on 1 July 2023. Due to a lack of suitable successors to the leadership of the Reos Partners Australia office, the office has closed.

“It’s been a pleasure to lead the Reos Partners Australia office,” says Stephen Atkinson. “In finding a way to keep connected and in relationship with Reos, and based on our long and trusting relationship, I and members of the Australian team are committed to working with Reos into the future.”

“The Australia office closing is a loss to Reos Partners but we have agreed to work collaboratively into the future on significant multi-stakeholder challenges in Australia that require the strength of Reos globally and the local Australian team,” says Mille Bojer, Chair of Reos Partners’ Global Council.
