Monica has 25 years of experience designing and leading collaborative initiatives focused on sustainability. She believes our societies and organizations can be improved when diverse people come together to re-create systems and selves. Monica is a Registered Professional Planner and a Canadian Institute of Planners member.
As a leading expert in social labs, Monica has advanced numerous labs including the Engineering Change Lab and the Emergency Aid Lab. She also led the development of the Roadmap to Effective Emergency Aid, which guides cohorts of colleges to create impactful aid programs that increase student retention and completion.
An avid traveler to sacred places, nature lover, and devoted parent, Monica is grateful to live by the sea in Western Canada on unceded traditional territory of the WSANEC and Lekwungen peoples.
