About

Mary is a project manager and designer, facilitator of groups and workshops, speaker and partnership articulator.

Mary works with socioenvironmental themes, intercultural communication (engagement and social participation methodologies, community and stakeholder management), education (sociocreative and socioenvironmental learning), partnership management and project design.

With more than 20 years of experience in the socioenvironmental and cultural field, before joining Reos, she co-founded the international community Let’s do It Community Learning – English practice and intercultural exchanges. She was a consultant at the Ministry of Culture for environmental issues, Cultural Diversity, Culture of Traditional Communities and Cultural Transversality. She worked designing and coordinating projects, courses, workshops in various institutions of the private, NGOs and government, such as Fundação SOS Mata Atlântica, WALM Engenharia, UNIBES CULTURAL, São Paulo Secretary of Justice, SENAC, UNESP, FUNBIO, CAIXA Cultural, Ema Klabin Foundation, among others.

She worked in all regions of Brazil, especially the Amazon, with different stakeholders, including traditional population, through projects such as Artesanato do Quilombo for the CPI-SP (Planet Casa Award 2005 from Casa Cláudia Magazine), ARPA- (Areas Protected Areas of the Amazon) from FUNBIO.

As an entrepreneur, she founded Filó Consulting, a socioenvironmental consultancy and was a co-founder of the international community Let’s do It Community Learning – English practice and intercultural exchanges. She was also Vice President of Consulting Companies at ABAI – Brazilian Association for Impact Assessment, 2019-2021.

  • Facilitator of the Quilombo Handicraft project for CPI-SP (Planet Casa Award 2005 from Casa Cláudia Magazine)
  • She was a referee for the Ministry of Culture for environmental issues, Cultural Diversity- Culture of Traditional Communities and Cultural Transversality
  • She created and facilitated courses and workshops at SENAC SP, SESC SP, Fundação SOS Mata Atlântica, OXFAM Brasil, FUNBIO, Instituto Pro Bono, FAS-Fundação Amazônia Sustentável, among others.
  • She was environment and Crafts Manager at SEBRAE AP

  • Graduation in Social Communication - Publicity and Propaganda, from the Federal University of Pará - UFPA
  • Specialization in Adult Education, by the Federal Institute of Technology and Education of São Paulo-IFSP;
  • Specialization in Instructional Design, by SENAC
