Mahmood is focused on organizational and system improvement at the edges and intersections of diverse groups committed to meeting complex challenges.

About

Mahmood works with groups to discover and implement opportunities that bridge economic, social, and ecological objectives. He combines over a decade of project and consulting experience in the corporate sector and government with research and practice in innovation for complexity. With a background in project design, development and execution as well as entrepreneurship, Mahmood brings his experience in venture philanthropy and building cross-sector partnerships to systems change efforts. Mahmood delivers results on projects at the intersection of established institutions in multiple sectors, ranging from international NGOs and philanthropy to energy, healthcare, and financial services. His experience is varied, from digital and process transformation to culture strengthening in financial services. He has consulted on renewable energy project development in mining, as well as innovation to scale rural micro-grids. Mahmood enjoys spending time with his wife and three children in Johannesburg, and training for ultra-marathons.
