Lucas is a learner, passionate about understanding the dynamics of systems transformation, culture change and mindset shifts.

About

Lucas Matarazzo’s role at Reos Partners includes taking care of project logistics and the synthesis and systematisation of insights. He is driven to work for a more equitable, sustainable and humane world.

Academically, he has dedicated his research to sociology of emotions, through studies that investigate the role of reflexivity in reproducing/contesting cultural conditioning, and to Digital Sociology, by investigating the radical changes every aspect of society underwent since the beginning of the internet. He also explored Transition Design, localism, systems transformations and collaborative design methodologies at Schumacher College.

Lucas is also deeply interested in studying how mindset and behavioural shifts happen on an individual level. This led him to study and practice an array of contemplative tools of mindset transformation and go through months of intensive meditation training. These experiences inspired him to co-found a network and facilitate group dialogues around mental health and meditation techniques in Edinburgh City.
