Mariella is a facilitator and project manager with 10 years of experience in the development sector. She is passionate about the intersection of politics and economics, and specifically how the private sector can be a driver of sustainable economic development. Mariella holds a M.Sc. in Economics and Public Policy from Sciences Po Paris and Ecole Polytechnique. Prior to joining Reos Partners she worked for the Access to Insurance Initiative and GIZ, implementing projects in the field of startup promotion, inclusive business, innovation and inclusive insurance.
Mariella worked as a project manager and co-facilitator on the Inclusive Insurance Innovation Lab for several years. With the Lab taking place during the Covid-19 pandemic she became an expert in hosting social labs and workshops online while taking into account different work cultures, infrastructure and power dynamics. The best part about her job was to interact with stakeholders from very different countries, including Argentina, Costa Rica, Grenada, India, Morocco, Rwanda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Mariella is passionate about learning new languages. She is fluent in English, French and German, has intermediary level of Spanish and Portuguese and is currently learning Tunisian Arabic. She loves jazz music and spending time with friends and family.
