About

Sarah Samaha specializes in decoding methodologies and documenting the teams learning history.. Over the past 10 years, she has worked extensively on projects related to Non Formal Education, Migration and Refugees, and Youth Entrepreneurship,

Through her work in various civic and social organizations, Sarah has gained experience both in the field (providing support to high-risk groups in various contexts) and on the organizational level (developing quality assurance methods/tools for organizational development). Sarah’s background in Psychology brings aspects of mindfulness and wellbeing into her work, and her admiration for the natural world allows her to look at things from an environmentally sustainable perspective.

Background

  • Led the Education Design Unit at Alwan & Awtar (Colours & Strings), formulating the organization’s overall educational frameworks, methodologies, and general and specific objectives.
  • Facilitated two courses on “Human Development & Learning Theories” and “Active Engagement for Learning” at the American University in Cairo’s Professional Educators Diploma Programme.
  • Led field-based operation teams in conducting an impact evaluation on a Youth Entrepreneurship Edutainment programme for JPAL (Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab).
  • Worked as a psychosocial worker in AMERA (African Middle East Refugee Assistance). Provided asylum seekers in Egypt with support and guidance in relation to medical, psychological, and social challenges.
