With nearly ten years experience in communications and marketing, Milena Cayres has built a career engaging people with brands and causes. She has a strong background in digital marketing for large scale brands in Brazil as well as the arts and culture sector.
Milena has a passion for socio-environmental activism using campaign organisation, projects, and activities to promote awareness in key issues including land use, human rights, and deforestation. She acted as the Community Manager for the Banana-Terra Project, a partnership between Greenpeace and Amnesty International in Brazil. In this role she was responsible for creating collaborative processes which led to the development of over 20 projects with cross-cutting views on various issues involving the environment, human rights, access to land and natural resources.
