Overview
In 2002, we worked with The Center for Houston’s Future and a cross-sectoral team of leaders to develop scenarios for the future of the Houston region. The Center for Houston’s Future develops research on public policies and their long term impact on the Houston region.
The scenario exercise explored the inter-relationships between seven issues related to power of place: growth, transportation and mobility, air quality, public design and appearance, parks and flooding, water quality and supply, governance and public finance. This study resulted in the creation of three scenarios which can help Houstonians develop their region in years to come. The scenarios were titled A House Divided, A House Beautiful, and A House United.
