Dear colleagues:
I have started to write a new book, my fifth, that will pick up where Collaborating with the Enemy left off.
It will explore the question: What simple, fundamental practices must facilitators do–underneath whatever methodologies they are using–to enable diverse actors to work together to achieve systemic breakthroughs, and specifically to fight disconnection, disempowerment, and injustice?
I will write the book this year and Berrett-Koehler will publish it in 2021.
When I wrote Collaborating four years ago, I had the pleasure of of interacting with a core group of colleagues who generously read drafts and offered feedback. As a result, the final book was, I think, more useful to people who are working, in different contexts around the world, to overcome fragmentation, polarization, and enemyfying.
I would like to engage in a similar collaborative writing process for this new book. If you would be willing and able to read and give comments on a few drafts over the course of the year, please sign up here. I will acknowledge all commenters in the book and also send you a free copy of the final e-book.
Meanwhile, if you would like to keep up with the global hands-on collaboration work of Reos and its partners, you can sign up for our newsletter here. You can also sign up to receive the always-thought-provoking reflections of my South African colleague Colleen Magner here.
Thank you for your continued encouragement and inspiration!
Yours sincerely,
Adam
