Sarah Babb

Sarah is an experienced facilitator and designer of multi-stakeholder processes for collective learning and allowing new solutions to emerge. Her inspiration comes from seeing the results of visible positive change and transformation on a personal, group and a sectoral level.

Sarah has contributed as programme manager and facilitator in a series of sector-based and corporate development projects in South Africa since 1995. Sarah founded The Skills Framework in 1998, specialising in learning and development. One such project was convening, designing and managing a national development project across the microfinance sector, with a budget of R78m, over a period of three years.

Sarah has facilitated workshops and leadership development since 1993 working across several sectors and companies. She has designed and facilitated a leadership programme at GIBS aimed at assisting leaders to shift to fulfil their potential in their leadership roles. Sarah is a member of the part-time faculty at GIBS (Gordon Institute of Business Science of the University of Pretoria).

Sarah has a MBA (cum laude, GIBS 2003-4), PDM (Wits Business School, with distinction), BA (Wits) and is currently completing her Doctorate (DBA, at GIBS).

Sarah has presented at national conferences since 1995 and has published widely in local journals, including publishing a book Perspectives in Learnerships: South African Case Studies.

Sarah is currently a partner in the Johannesburg office of Reos Partners. She is currently project lead on a multi-sectoral project in the Midvaal area for orphans and vulnerable children.
